Green Needham’s “Toward Zero Waste” wants to uncover and share best practices in reducing waste and increasing recycling. We’re looking for either short term or ongoing support for “best practice” research. Once you choose an area to research, we will help you get started by discussing topics to search online and suggesting individuals and/or organizations to contact.
Insights gleaned from online resources and participation in Boston area meetings would be discussed with the team and shared with the community.
Topics could include:
- Innovations in Composting – Biodigesters and backyard systems
- Recycling in the Schools – managing our waste streams
- Resources available to Needham residents – commercial vs public options
- Other topics you feel need to be addressed
Research best practices in waste reduction
