Green Needham’s Plastics Reduction team is working to reduce single-use plastic consumption and waste in Needham.
We are working to:
- Prepare the town for the upcoming plastic bag ban by encouraging Needham shoppers to bring reusable bags to the store.
- Expand the current plastic bag ban to include additional single-use plastics, such as straws, utensils, polystyrene, etc.
- Work with the Needham school system to educate students and reduce single-use plastics during lunch.
