Heeding the dire warnings of climate scientists, the Massachusetts legislature recently set ambitious goals for a 50% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, on the way to reaching net zero emissions by 2050.  Why are the next ten years so important? As part of its Lane Lyceum Tuesday Night Speaker Series, First Parish has invited Larry Chretien, executive director of the Green Energy Consumers Alliance, and Kai Salem, the organization’s Policy Coordinator, to help us envision the changes necessary to meet the State’s emissions reduction targets.
