Municipal Clean Energy Forum

March 29, 2011 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

The Metropolitan Area Planning Council is hosting a free municipal clean energy forum on March 29th with keynote speaker Phil Giudice, Massachusetts Undersecretary of Energy.

The forum will provide an opportunity for municipal staff, volunteers, community non-profit members and other stakeholders to meet and discuss their experiences working in the municipal energy realm. Come share your success stories and lessons learned, discover how other communities have addressed similar challenges, and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

Phil Giudice was appointed EoEEA Undersecretary of Energy early this year after serving for several years as the Commissioner of the Department of Energy Resources, where he led the efforts to build Massachusetts’ clean energy economy. Phil has a long history in private sector energy, including being one of the founders of EnerNOC, a Massachusetts company that is a leader in demand response.

Municipal Energy Challenges & Solutions will be held from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Federal Reserve Building in Boston across from South Station. Due to building security measures, please be prepared to show a valid, government-issued I.D.

There is no cost for the seminar, but you must register. If you have questions, contact Helen Aki, MAPC Energy Services Coordinator, by e-mail or at 617-451-2770 x2054.

The Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) is a regional planning agency serving the people who live and work in 101 communities in Metropolitan Boston.
