A lecture by Eleanor Talbot, forecaster for the National Weather Service

Ms. Talbot will provide a look at the causes of extreme weather events of recent years. Not every disastrous tornado, hurricane and drought is the result of man-made influences and global warming – but many are. Ms. Talbot will also discuss preparedness strategies for individuals.

This is the first lecture of the “Whither the Weather?” lecture series, the 2015 series sponsored by the Trustees of the Needham Free Public Library in honor of Library Director Emeritus Vivian McIver.
