On Wednesday, June 12, 2019, 7 pm at The First Church and Parish, 670 High Street, Dedham, the Charles River Green Coalition will host a Green New Deal Town Hall. The town hall will focus on the existential threat posed by climate change and explain the Green New Deal, a stimulus package designed to combat both climate change and the burgeoning economic inequality in the United States.

The two-part program will include a group of passionate student speakers who will present the Sunrise Movement’s case for a Green New Deal. The second part will consist of a panel of activists, community leaders, and a health professional who will discuss the impacts of climate change on our communities, and what we can do about it. The panel will be followed by a question and answer session and conclude with recommendations for action at the local, state and federal level, as well as opportunities to connect with local environmental organizations.

Attendance at the town hall is free and open to all.
