The Green Communities Study Committee will hold a public hearing seeking community input regarding the adoption of the Stretch Building code and other Green Communities qualifications on Monday, June 13th at 7:00 pm at the Broadmeadow School.

This is an important step in the effort to have the Town of Needham be certified as a Massachusetts Green Community. Becoming a Green Community is a commitment to reducing municipal energy usage, saving money, increasing the energy efficiency and energy performance of residences, offices and municipal buildings and supporting the development of a green economy in Massachusetts.

Your participation is important. Attending the meeting, whether you wish to speak or not, demonstrates your interest and helps Needham seize this opportunity to become a more sustainable community.
