Alan Clayton-Matthews provides an economist’s view of climate change

As part of its Climate Change Cafe series, the Environmental Ministry Team of the Congregational Church of Needham has invited an economist to give his perspective on the effects of climate change.
Dr. Alan Clayton-Matthews, of the Northeastern University Department of Economics, will speak about “Trends in the Rise of Greenhouse Gases and the Effects of Climate Change from an Economist’s Perspective.” The event will take place on Sunday October 14, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. in Linden Hall at the Congregational Church of Needham.
Dr. Clayton-Mathews will discuss topics including:
- What is the current and future economic impact of the rise in greenhouse gases?
- What can be done about it?
- What’s the cost of rising sea levels in the Boston area and how will they affect the way we live and work?
The public is welcome to attend.
