“Solar 101 – Now is the time!” workshop on June 7th

Thinking about going solar? Join us for an informational session – it may be easier than you think!

More than 350 Needham residents have installed solar PV systems. Come learn about the benefits of installing solar on your roof at Green Needham’s Solar 101 – Now is the time! workshop on June 7th at 7:30 pm.

At Solar 101,

• We will share information about Solar PV systems and the process of installing them on your home.
• We will discuss the economics of installing solar and the choice to purchase or lease.
• You will learn about Federal and State tax credits which lower the cost of solar.
• We will present and explain the current Massachusetts incentives – net metering and Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs) – and the benefits of taking advantage of them this year, before the implementation of the follow-on “SMART” program next year.
• “Solar ambassadors” – Needham residents who are already benefiting from having solar panels on their roofs, will be there to share their experience.
• Solar installers will be on hand to answer your questions and evaluate your particular property.

Green Needham’s Solar 101 – Now is the time! workshop will be held from 7:30 – 9:00 pm on Wednesday, June 7th, 2017 at Christ Episcopal Church at 1132 Highland Avenue, Needham. Refreshments will be served.
