April 26, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:45 pm
$10CANCELED – MAY BE RESCHEDULED AT A LATER DATE
First Parish in Needham, Unitarian Universalist, 23 Dedham Ave., Needham, will host a showing of the film The Biggest Little Farm on Sunday, April 26 at 7 p.m. This 91-minute award-winning film documents the eight-year quest of John and Molly Chester (and their dog) as they trade city living for 200 acres of barren farmland and a dream to harvest in harmony with nature. Featuring breathtaking cinematography, captivating animals, and an urgent message to heed Mother Nature’s call, THE BIGGEST LITTLE FARM provides us all a vital blueprint for better living and a healthier planet.
For parents: The film is rated PG for mild thematic elements, including pictures of dead chickens and ducks, killed by coyotes. Here is a review by Parent Previews which gave the film an A+ rating but concluded that it “really isn’t a movie for little kids, although older elementary school age children will probably enjoy it, especially if they love animals.”
You can watch the trailer here.
Tickets are $10 at the door, with proceeds going to the New England Wind Fund.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with informational tables about local environmental initiatives.
