The Needham School Committee will be holding an open house at the new Sunita L. Williams Elementary School on Saturday morning, October 19th from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. Don’t miss this first opportunity for the wider Needham community to explore and enjoy this amazing new facility. The Sunita L. Williams School is built to be highly energy efficient, and 275 kW of solar PV on the roof provide much of the schools electricity. It is also the first new building to have electric vehicle chargers in the parking lot. Solarize Plus Needham will be there as well, with information on the program, a chance to talk with our solar PV and air source heat pump installer partners, electric vehicles and our Drive Green team.
