The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center reported that installer response to Needham’s Solarize Plus RFP was strong. Seven solar PV installers and four Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) installers submitted proposals in response to the Solarize Plus RFP by the August 12th deadline.
The next step is a threshhold review by the Clean Energy Center and the Cadmus Group. The threshhold review ensures that the installers have met the basic requirements of the RFP. It is expected to be completed within a day or two, after which the Needham review team, along with our assigned consultants from Cadmus Group, will do an initial review and scoring of the proposals.
It is expected that up to three installers for each technology (Solar PV and Air Source Heat Pumps) will be selected for interviews. Interviews are expected to be completed by the end of August, after which an installer for each technology will be chosen.
