Municipal energy aggregation, recommended by the Climate Action Planning Committee and authorized by the October 2022 Town Meeting, has taken another step forward. According to the Town’s newsletter, Needham’s Municipal Aggregation Plan was submitted on February 2, 2024 to the Mass. Department of Public Utilities for approval. On Thursday, March 14th at 2 p.m. the Department will hold a virtual public hearing to receive comments on the Plan.
This hearing is the first step in the review process by the state Department of Public Utilities. The link below gives information about accessing the hearing and outlines procedures for submitting comments via Zoom or by email.
