The Town of Needham would like to hear the opinions and concerns of the community as it develops its first Climate Action Plan. Please share your feedback by completing this survey, which contains fewer than 20 questions and should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. The Climate Action Plan Committee (CAPC) was chartered by the Needham Select Board in 2022 to develop the Town’s plan to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050, with interim targets in 2030 and 2040. The Town plans to release the plan in late 2023.
Reaching these targets will require the collective efforts of Needham residents, businesses, organizations, and the Town itself. Only about 3% of Needham’s carbon emissions come from Town owned buildings, vehicles, and other sources. The rest comes from privately-owned vehicles, homes, buildings, and the electricity that powers those homes and buildings.
