UPDATE 10-27-2014: the Globe just published a nice color-coded chart with the 5 candidates’ views on environmental and other issues. Check it out here.
A few weeks ago, when Green Needham went to compile the gubernatorial candidates’ current environmental positions, we ran into some roadblocks. Namely, many of them posted little or nothing regarding their views. Thankfully, the October 8th Boston Globe published the responses to a 17 question survey they sent to all five candidates. The chart below summarizes their positions on some key issues, but reading the actual responses gives more a detailed and nuanced view of their opinions. Their responses can be found via these links to the Globe:
- Republican Charlie Baker
- Democrat Martha Coakley
- Independent Evan Falchuk
- Independent Scott Lively
- Independent Jeff McCormick
We were hoping to also the environmental views of the two candidates for Attorney General, democrat Maura Healey and Republican John Miller, but we couldn’t uncover anything on Miller’s stances.
