This week the Needham Farmers Market will be celebrating music. This Sunday’s market lands on the anniversary of the day in 1969 the Woodstock music festival concluded in Bethel NY. In honor of the festival, the Needham Farmers Market will be giving away $5 in farmers bucks to use at any of the day’s vendors to the first 20 kids who share the title of their favorite song.
The Needham Community Farm will be at the market showing people how to make a worm composting bin at home.
The market’s musical performance sponsored by Not Your Average Joe’s Bar and Kitchen Needham will be Julia Chase. Two local artists, Abbi Canney and Kathy Walker will be bringing their work to display and sell at this week’s market.
Our vendors and Non-profits include MacArthur Farm, Neighborhood Farm, Needham Community Farm, Globe Fish, Lilac Hedge, Susie’s Baking/FUNdamentally Nuts, and Ackermanns Maple Farm.
The Needham Farmers Market, sponsored by Needham Bank; opens at 12 p.m. and closes at 4 p.m. every Sunday through Nov. 23rd. Location is the municipal parking lot behind Needham Bank off of Garden St. Plenty of free parking is available.
