Find out how weatherizing your home can save money and energy this winter!
As the cold weather sets in, Green Needham Collaborative is offering a series of one-hour workshops addressing the unique weatherization opportunities and challenges for three common types of houses in Needham – capes, colonials and ranches. Each workshop will take place at the Needham Historical Society, 1147 Central Ave. On Wednesday, January 16 at7 p.m., the presentation will focus on Weatherizing Capes. On Thursday, January17, at 7 p.m. the focus will be on Weatherizing Colonials and Ranches in Needham.
Each workshop will be led by experienced energy advisors from Next Step Living, a company which has completed 24,000 Mass Save® home energy assessments in Massachusetts. The workshops will last approximately one hour, with plenty of time for questions. All are welcome to come either night to learn more about their home’s weatherization options. Refreshments will be served.
The workshops are part of Green Needham Collaborative’s ongoing efforts to promote energy efficiency. Their goal is to encourage residents not only to have home energy assessments, but also to complete the weatherization work that will reduce energy use and utility costs.
